look mum, i'm on the bbc!!!
Wow. i had an email a while ago from a nice lady from the bbc radio station called radio one. for those who dont live in england radio one is a very popular station that young people listen to as they play mainly pop music. i heard that it is on a sirriuous radio too in america. anyway they wanted to do a documentary about podcasting and asked me if they could use some bits of my show. this week they have put it online and you can listen to it by going to this link. it has me at the end and has edith bowman presenting it. ram files arent like mp3 files and load up a program called realplayer with loads of adverts on it, that must be how the bbc make all their money.
in england everyone pays around £100 pounds to contribute to the bbc. we get 5 channels of national radio, lots of local radio and 2 main tv channels plus loads of channels on cable. now the bbc is podcasting it means everyone gets to enjoy it. its like if i owned a car and paid for car tax which pays for the roads to be maintained in england, the country would send workmen over to the rest of the world to maintain their roads for free.
i had some thouhgts about making money that i'm going to talk about soon. but i'm too tired to record a podcast tonight so maybe another night. im off to bed.

Roger, congratulations on the Radio One exposure. It was a great program and it sounded like the presenter really fancied you. Does she fit your idea of a 'pretty girl'?
I;m not getting my hopes up with girls at the moment. but i think that will go on radio 1 on the 22nd in the evening - if you are from america and pay for sirious then it is on there too. america has serious time delayed so that all the evening shows are actually on in the evening in america. i wish i would get sirous in the uk as it sounds like there is so much on there.
Was it just me that thought they were a bit too anti-podcast? (present company excepted) They must be scared they'll lose listeners to Radio Clash!
It's about time you got on the radio Roger, perhaps with your new found fame you should offer to stand in for Moyles next time he goes on holiday!

I have to tell you after hearing the Radio link state that you were there fave blogger I went to your site and heard what you had to say. On a day when depression could have got the better of me your brilliant bloggs which were a fresh introduction to blogging for me made me cry laughing. I think what you do is both an ispiration and deserves far more additional coverage. I am a photographer slighlty cranky but otherwise normal, (whatever that is?) and due to listening to your acurate depiction of day to day life in youor fish bowl i will be pursuing my own, whice phone do you use? I have recently renovated my home and converted one room into a photographic studio and inten d to record the promotion of what i do and the studios progrees, good luck mate.
